I am currently a little behind on happenings here on Deviant Art. I ask your forgiveness for such, and hope to be caught up fairly soon.

I had it in mind to start creating a regular feature here on my journal and in a news article also. We will see how that transpires, but for now, I hope that you enjoy the work of the following artists, all of whom are extraordinarily talented and have caught my attention in one way or another.

If you would wish to be featured at a later date, please feel free to send me a note with what you feel are your three personal best pieces of artwork.

Edited to add the following note: I was not able to fit everyone I wished to into this particular feature as it would have been ridiculously large if I had. Those that I could not include in this entry will be included in the next entry. *Smiles*

I made the decision to start making a few changes, and it begins here with a new layout. *Faint smile* It is not a drastic alteration from the previous journal layout, but it is somewhat of an improvement. All of the elements were made by me.

I am very aware that I may seem absent from time to time, but I assure you that I am not gone. The pull of such creative and unique souls here is something that I enjoy immensely. To all of those who have supported me and my work here, my warmest thanks. It is much appreciated and does not go unnoticed, even though I do resemble a shadow that blows in and out with the night wind at times.

My often frenetic pulse is cooling softly beneath a dark sky tonight, and while I am not quite at peace, I feel something stirring in me again with the change of the seasons. I am not one of those subject to any sort of spring fever...indeed, fall remains my favorite season and perhaps always will be. But I hear the slender whiplash of fire unfurling from an eloquent tongue this evening, and I find that my lips part in a smile as something whispers distant on the horizon.

Who knows what chasing it will bring?

I will add a note, here. I will not be tagging anyone, but anyone who happens to read this journal entry and feels so inclined is welcome to post. I am interested in what answers might perhaps come.

Mine:

1. I have a tendency to be introspective. Sometimes it is harmful, sometimes it has wrought good. It is something that I accept as an inherent part of my personality.

2. I can play two musical instruments to a certain extent, though I no longer indulge these interests frequently due to constraints upon my time. The instruments are the piano and the violin.

3. I dabble in web design when the mood so takes me, but I am occasionally slightly relentless. I do not allow myself to be defeated by random notations of code, even when it frustrates me immensely. Companions of mine can testify to both my persistence and my more than occasional irritation. I am far from an expert, but I enjoy learning as I go along.

4. It is not unusual for me to be found awake at hours that could be considered as slightly out of the ordinary.

5. I have long-standing fascinations with stars, Arthurian myth, old love letters and the state of the soul, amongst other things.

6. I create far more than I ever post here or elsewhere. Much of my work remains in archives, collecting proverbial dust...or in some cases, literal dust, depending upon whether the format of it is actually physical or not.

7. I am agnostic. To some, the term denotes indecision. For myself, I prefer to think of it as being able to keep an open mind towards multiple spiritual possibilities.

8. I enjoy layering details and meanings in order to form something that might touch others; whether it be in written form or via other artistic mediums. Everything that I create is imbued with something personal, though it is not always necessarily overt in presence.

I wanted to take a moment to wish all a wonderful holiday season. I hope that every single one of you remains healthy and happy for the coming year.
